Why should I study the Digital Media Program?
This SACE Subject Package provides you with knowledge and skills to use digital tools and technologies for media creation. You will develop your critical and creative skills to become a skilled and proficient communicator using a range of media formats, and learn to use text, graphics, video and sound to convey messages to different audiences. You will work on a range of projects designed to promote and challenge your learning, preparing you to become a critical, ethical and proficient user and creator of digital media.
Where does the Digital Media Program lead?
This program provides a pathway for careers in digital media and a wide range of other areas. The skills developed in the program are in high demand across different industries and serve creative, business and technology purposes. Upon completion, you may seek to continue your education in fields such as graphic design, web development, marketing and advertising, film and television, animation and game design. You may also see yourself applying your skills in other related fields, such as visual arts, photography, performing arts, business and education.
What work will I do in Digital Media Program?
The Digital Media Program is flexible and allows you to choose from a range of core and elective subjects according to your own interests and needs. The core components within the program provide you with a foundation in the areas of digital graphics and imaging, digital media, content creation and videomaking, including a studio-based subject in year 12. The range of electives allow you to choose from a range of specialist subjects that support media production and work in the creative industries.
