Certificate II in Plumbing (Pre-apprenticeship) provides the foundations for those pursuing a career as a plumber. This course is run one day a week at PEER (RTO 45744) on Port Road, Alberton.

What work will I do in Plumbing?
Across a mix of classroom-based study and workshops to practice hands-on skills, you will learn to perform plumbing, pipework, welding and fabrication.
Students will be taught the basic skills required to gain an apprenticeship in this industry. They will learn how to use hand and power tool and materials appropriate to this field. By completing both theory and practical tasks, students will participate in reading, interpreting and producing plans and technical drawings. They will also look at the fabrication of simple plumbing pipe systems and be involved in installing pipes, fittings and fixtures.
Work Health and Safety is a large component of this certificate, so students will learn how to keep themselves and others safe while conducting plumbing activities.
