Why should I study Pop Culture?
Pop Culture is everywhere, in every facet of our lives. TV shows, movies, books, music – every day we consume hours of material. You know so much about your favourite pop culture properties, why not earn SACE credits for analysing and talking about it?

What work will I do in Pop Culture?
Students use their interest in and consumption of popular culture – for example video games, anime, books, and movies – to critically examine the impacts of popular culture on their lives and society in general.
The class will do a group project by looking at representation in movies in South Australian cinemas, producing a short film introducing others to their favourite pop culture, keeping a pop culture journal and participating in various pop culture events throughout the year as part of their assessment.
What do other students think about Pop Culture?
…It’s prepared us for life and taught us in different and fun ways!
