Why should I study Digital Art?
Digital Art is a flexible way to study any type of Digital Art or Media that you’re interested in. In this class you will focus on developing practical skills within your area of interest and use them to produce a self-directed product. This subject focuses on supporting you to develop your own personal Creative Arts aesthetic while using programs such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
Where does Digital Art lead?
There are many pathways that Digital Art can lead to, depending on your interests and study focus. This course will help you develop your own creative arts practice, expression and communication skills to be a freelance artist or designer, or lead you into tertiary study areas such as Creative Arts, Visual Arts, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Entertainment Design, Animation and Photography.
This subject will also help you develop ideas and skills for the Screen and Media certificates we offer.
What work will I do in Digital Art?
In Digital Art you will have the opportunity to focus on specific practical skills and techniques that you will use for your own digital creative works. These are shown in a skills folio you produce. You will also study the works, processes and techniques of other practitioners to inform your creative practice and show how they have influenced you. Additionally, you will create your own unique digital art pieces expressing the skills you have learnt in your own unique style.
